Data Deletion

You are in control of your data. You can delete individual personas and recordings yourself, or request complete deletion of your account and all associated data. This page explains how, what is removed, and how long it takes.

1. Delete a Persona or Recording Yourself

The fastest way to remove data is from your dashboard:

  • Sign in and open your dashboard.
  • Open the persona you want to remove.
  • Delete the persona, or remove individual voice recordings from it.

When you delete a persona, we remove its recordings and persona content from active systems and instruct our voice provider to delete the associated voiceprint.

2. Delete Your Entire Account

To delete your whole account and all associated data, choose either option:

  • Use the account deletion option in your account settings, if available; or
  • Email contact@reconnect.family from the address on your account, with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.”

We will verify your request to protect your account, then process it as described below.

3. What Gets Deleted and When

  • Voice recordings and voiceprints - removed from active systems promptly; the voiceprint deletion is requested from our voice provider. Backup copies are purged within 90 days.
  • Persona content (names, traits, stories) - deleted on the same schedule.
  • Account and profile data - deleted from active systems within 30 days of a verified request; purged from backups within 90 days.
  • Conversation and call data - deleted or de-identified as part of account deletion.
  • Records we are legally required to keep - retained only for the period required by law, then deleted.

We will confirm by email once your deletion request is complete.

4. If You Signed In With Facebook, Google, or Apple

Deleting your Reconnect account removes the data we hold. You can also revoke Reconnect's access from your provider's settings:

  • Facebook - Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites → remove Reconnect.
  • Google - Google Account → Security → Third-party access → remove Reconnect.
  • Apple - Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple → Reconnect → Stop using Apple ID.

Revoking access stops future logins; to delete data we already hold, please also submit a deletion request as described above.
